Hope everyone had an awesome weekend! Phil and I visited a high tea place located in the Kerrisdale area. There was a voucher on “Axka” – a Vancouver voucher purchasing website for Rose House Tea & Art. The vouchers vary on availability and also changes from time to time but I do recommend checking it out because sometimes they do have some great voucher deals on there! **they don’t have this deal anymore**
We went on a Friday evening and the last booking was at 5:30pm. So we rushed to high tea right after work. I really like how they had their own parking lot available for their customers at the back.
For the voucher deal, we each got our own tea. I believe Phil ordered the Peach Peach Tea & I got the Rose Planet. Both great selections. The Peach Peach smells sweet but didn’t taste sweet until you add your own sugar. Both were very subtle and I enjoyed it very much. Our voucher “restriction” was that we were not allowed to add water once we were done with our original pot… such a waste…but they had to follow the rules.
If you check out their website: http://www.rosehousevancouver.com/ , they actually have several options for high tea. All based on the amount of food you would like.
I guess our voucher deal is the Prince William Set ($32.95 per set).
Everything was displayed very pretty… almost too pretty to eat..but nonetheless, we finished everything. I always feel like I’ll never get full from High tea because the portions of each food is so petite, but I always end up leaving full. This was the same story… after devouring every piece on the table, I was stuffed! Surprisingly, Phil was full too and he enjoyed the food very much. Every piece seemed so simple but once you have everything together and enjoy the moment, it becomes something very special. I had a blast with Phil. While sipping on some tea and eating miniature food, we chatted and enjoyed every moment of it.
Overall Rating: 3.25/5
Overall, a very enjoyable moment! I wouldn’t say the food was the BEST i’ve had in a high tea, but it was still good! It came with the staple pieces, such as tuna sandwich and scones, which was simply good!
Thanks for reading!
